About Us
My name is Susie Bailey, and I started life at the University of Nottingham reading Human Genetics, but after a major career change, I am an Interior Designer and the creative inspiration behind SUSU Interior Design, passionate about eco-friendly homes and 'green' issues!
But what is our definition of 'green'? At SUSU Organic 'green' covers an eclectic mix of ethical businesses, including eco-friendly and organic baby clothes and products, environmentally-friendly toiletries skincare and household products, eco-furniture, eco-friendly holidays and hotels, and restaurants and cafes that serve organic and/or local produce There are also events and useful articles on 'green' living
The thing that all of the businesses on this site have in common is that they are providing quality products or services that are eco-friendly, organic or locally sourced, and support local businesses wherever possible
My family were farmers in Yorkshire and I am passionate about farmers markets and farm shops, eco-friendly buildings, recycling, fair trade and shopping locally and seasonally. In fact all things green!
But we don't just want a directory of businesses that are willing to pay for advertising. we want to provide a directory of businesses that you feel happy to recommend to your friends and family. On SUSU Organic you will find the best of organic, the best of green, and the best of eco-friendly businesses.
We want to put all of these trusted businesses on this site - all the obscure people that we would all love to find. If you are one of those people, please contact us!
My support team
I couldn't do this without the help and support of my wonderful family. My partner runs his own business involving heat exchange, my eldest son recently graduated, and as he shares the family passion for all things 'green', he will be spreading the SUSU Organic word until he starts his new career, and my youngest son wants to persue his passion and become a vet. I also thank my amazing friends in business and wonderful people I am constantly meeting that are interested in green issues, that do their bit to spread the word!
They are all a constant source of support and help and I thank them from my heart and, to quote my new friend Penney Poyzer, wish them all heaps of green love!
Wishing you love and health
