CARE OF CHRISTMAS VEG
All of our Christmas veg can be kept in good condition by following some simple steps-particularly when space in the fridge is at a premium!
Store roots and potatoes without washing wrapped in newspaper or sacking to exclude light and conserve moisture in a cool but frost-free space
Cabbages can be stored the same way if no room in the fridge
“Plant” sprout sticks in a garden border or window box, preferably outside to avoid yellowing, and use as required
Salads and leafy veg in the crisper at bottom of fridge
