Environmentally Friendly Printers

 RCS printers have set themselves on the path of becoming as environmentally friendly as they possibly can
In 2003 they were awarded the coveted ISO 14001 environment management systems award, and were one of the first printers in the country to achieve this status!
They buy from suppliers with the same ethos. For example all their ink is based on clean vegetable oil and supplied in eco-friendly packaging. Plus they have on site mixing technology which allows them to mix colours as required to pin point accuracy making their waste close to zero!
All their paper is sourced from European Union FSC grade forests where more trees are planted for the future than are felled each year. In the last year alone their suppliers planted many thousands of extra trees on our behalf!!
The paper is processed using Elemental Chlorine Free technology to avoid the production of damaging toxins, and after a top to bottom review by the Carbon Trust they have been implementing a number of energy saving solutions, from lights which turn themselves off when the sun shines, to motors which run up to 70% more efficiently, and their Managing Director drives a 100% electric car!
