What to plant in October
Autumn is the perfect time for planting delicious veggies - onions, shallots, rhubarb, asparagus and garlic. If the soil is still warm, the plants will quickly establish prior to the cold winter weather, if it is getting a bit chilly, start them off in pots indoors or in a greenhouse.
You will most certainly enjoy the freshness of your veggies and the delicious healthy taste of your home grown crop. As you know, growing your own helps to cut the cost of your grocery bills, and it will also reduce your food miles and carbon footprint!
